My Fanfic Link Page
There are about 1 bajillion Sailor Moon fanfics out there and the numbers
are growing. What you'll find here are links to stories I've actually read
and recommend, or the pages you can best find them on.
I've included some pocket reviews. You'll note they are all positive
reviews...I've got better things to do than provide links to BAD stories.
These aren't the ONLY good stories out there, but they're all ones I like.
You'll also note that some of these stories are by me. Among other things,
I want this page to provide a convenient nexus to all my SM fiction for
those of my fans who don't like Ranma 1/2 and don't want to plow through
my other fiction page with 10000000000.3 Ranma stories to get to the SM
fics.

For those who might want to read an interview of me (all five of you,
maybe :), you can find an interview at the link below, done when I was

Symphony of the Planets
Substitute Usagi for Artemis in this picture and you'd get the five
subjects of these five stories. Symphony of the Planets: Inners Suite is
a five part story, each interlaced with the other five, dealing with a
few days in the life of the Inner Senshi. Each of them faces various problems
outside of their normal range of Senshi business:
- Ami tries to prevent a friend from committing suicide after she fails
her college exams.
- Rei gets called on an exorcism job with Grandpa.
- Usagi tries to go on a date with Mamoru and it turns into the date
from hell. [Many cameos]
- Minako goes on vacation with her folks and falls in love. You know
how well this usually goes.
- Makoto faces the toughest challenge of all...finding something to DO
on a Saturday night when everyone else is busy.
This was my first Sailor Moon story. It is also a prequel to Sailor
Moon Z, my collaboration with Jeff Hosmer. Click here to visit my homepage
for it: here
Sailor Moon Z
Sailor Moon Z is a currently in-progress collaboration between me and
Jeff Hosmer. It is effectively our own 'final season' of Sailor Moon, designed
to tie up a lot of loose ends left untied by the final season of Sailor
Moon. It effectively replaces the last two seasons, starting right after
S leaves off.
It is NOT a crossover with Dragonball Z :) It is, however, connected
to Dance of Shiva, which also forms part of its continuity. [Way in its
future]
The story focuses on two main plot threads: the menace of the Zodiac,
who are looking for the Star Princess, and the return of an old foe of
the Sailors who seeks revenge [One of the loose ends we're tying up.]

Dance of Shiva
Dance of Shiva is a Mega-crossover story of many different series, including
BGC, TM, AMG, and others. And of course, Sailor Moon :).
You can find its page with a better explanation: here
Arise From Your Slumber
This is...well, an unusual story. It's one of my few that uses an experimental
writing style. It is set at the end of the dark years of the Great Ice
that precedes the founding of Crystal Tokyo. The fate of the world rests
in the hands of a woman who can't even remember her own name...let alone
how to save it.
It's also a crossover with the Eternal Champion series, though in a
very loose sense. I think Michael Moorcock would send Elric after me if
he read this :)
You'll find it here
My Sailor Moon Poetry
I don't normally write poetry, but I've put all my SM poetry here for
your reading enjoyment or to make it easier for you to avoid them as the
mood strikes you.
All of these poetry are free verse, written 'in character' by various
SM characters. You'll find them here
The Rei Pendragon Cycle
Let's get funky. Yes, this IS a Sailor Moon/Arthurian fusion mythos.
Chris Davies and I designed this world, where the Senshi of the Round Table,
serving Queen Rei of Logres and King Mamoru of Cameliard, defend Britain
against Youma, Dark Senshi, and other menaces. Two stories have been written
so far:
- A Tokyo Senshi in Queen Rei's Court
- The Healing of Senshi Urre
Several more are loosely planned to eventually cover the whole sweep
of the mythos. If we ever find time ^_^;;;

Chris Davies
It is rare that I can deflate my own ego enough to truly stand in awe,
but in this case, I make an exception.
Before Chris Davies, I stand in awe.
Chris Davies is my favorite SM fanfic author. While I don't always see
eye to eye with Chris, I greatly enjoy his stories anyway. His greatest
strengths, in my not humble at all opinion, are threefold:
- Firstly, his ability to peer inside the heads of his characters and
explain what they think, how they think, why they think it, and what it
makes them do.
- Secondly, the strength of his vision. Inch by inch, story by story,
Chris has crafted a great saga that runs through many of his stories, and
all of them express clearly his vision of the universe, both as it is and
as it is in the worlds of his fiction. He is never obscure, pointlessly
confusing, 'tricksy', or otherwise caught up in his own importance as an
artist. I don't always agree with his vision, but it is epic in scope and
highly creative in an often mythic fashion. He has a passion for world-building,
and the worlds he has built are fascinating, with a sense of depth to them,
like his vision of Silver Millenium era Mars in one of his Panorama stories.
- Thirdly, Chris has the ability to walk in the darkness without being
blinded by it. His ability to portray the darker side of human existence
makes the lights that shine in his stories that much brighter. This is
a strength I don't have. My stories are fairly bright and shiny, and if
she could write, Usagi could easily have written most of them, which is
probably why I like her so much. One way in which Chris' stories are much
stronger than my own is his ability to portray darkness without being overwhelmed
by it. He is never gloomy for its own sake, but rather because darkness
too is part of the world.
I could review all of his stories, but I don't have time, and you'd
probably get sick of listening to me gush, so I'll stick to three and provide
you with a link to all of them.
Five Minutes
- This is the second story of the 'Raye trilogy' and the first of his
stories I ever read. It is very short in comparison to much of his work,
but very powerful. It is a disturbing story about death and a hopeful story
about the sacrifices we make for others. It is a story about mistakes and
the price we pay for love. I cried when I read this.
Together Again. 2937 Chapter
- This story lasts a lot longer than 'Five Minutes' ^_-. This is the
sort of multi-series crossover epic I love when it's done well. And it
IS. When Emperor Tenchi of Jurai comes to visit Queen Serenity of Earth,
more trouble than you can shake the Cutie Moon Rod at breaks loose. It
combines, action, philosophy, romance, humor, drama, and mystery in good
proportions, and the ending actually had some surprises, which doesn't
happen too often in stories I read, even with my pathetic skills at solving
mysteries. The story also hits the right element of resolving the major
plotlines without neatly tying every problem in every series into a nice
neat little bow and solving them all. Not to mention, he actually made
me feel sympathy for Shampoo. The number of people who can do that can
usually be counted on the fingers of my feet ^_-. An excellent read if
you have lots of time.
All Coming Back to Me
- I selected this story for review because it is an excellent example
of Chris' skill at world-building. This is one of his Panorama stories,
telling how Mars and Princess Serenity first met. His vision of Mars is
brilliant. Like Tolkein, or Moorcock, or Jordan, there is a sense that
this world is real, that there is ever so much more of it than we see.
It is no mere backdrop, but a living breathing world into which we have
been invited by the author to enter. Oh, the story has a good plot too
:)

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Ranma
This series is another of my favorites, and one of the few SM fanfics to
spawn an American Dojinshi. (The only non-H dojinshi I've ever seen to
boot, not counting KOC, which is from the same people). It was inspired
by a silly picture at an art show of various Ranma characters in sailor
suits back in 1995.
This is what is known as a fusion story, where characters from one series
take on roles from another. So far, things have lined up as:
- Ranma - Usagi
- Akane - Ami
- Ukyou - Rei
- Kodachi - Makoto
The series does a good job of putting Ranma through all the hell available
from both series, as well as some unique twists available from the
combination of the two. You can check it out here:
